When you call, you talk to me.
Selling a home during a life change is different from an ordinary sale. There is a move to plan, a lifetime of belongings, family to keep informed, and often a deadline. I coordinate all of it for Issaquah families, with a team behind the scenes handling the details.
Areas I serve
Bellevue | Kirkland | Redmond | Sammamish | Issaquah | Woodinville | Bothell | Kenmore | Shoreline | Edmonds | Medina | Seattle
How I help Issaquah families
- A parent is moving into assisted living or memory care
- Downsizing on your own timeline
- Selling with power of attorney
- Selling after a parent passes away
- Managing the sale from out of state
- Selling a home with a reverse mortgage
Local details that matter in Issaquah
- Neighborhoods: Issaquah Highlands, Talus, Squak Mountain, Olde Town, Montreux, and Providence Point.
- Paperwork: Issaquah is in King County. When a power of attorney needs to be recorded before closing, it is recorded with the King County Recorder’s Office. The title company confirms what is needed early.
- Finding care nearby: see licensed adult family homes in Issaquah, with typical costs, on Open Senior Care. (Open Senior Care and Senior Realty Guide share the same owner.)
What happens first, next, and last
- First
A 30-minute call
We talk through your situation, the timeline, and who can sign, and you get a realistic estimate of what the home would sell for and net.
- Next
The move, then the house
The move comes first. Then keepsakes, donations, cleanout, and only the prep that is worth doing. You approve every cost.
- Last
Sell and close
The home is priced, marketed, and sold, with proceeds going to the care account, trust, or estate.
Who does the work
- Move managers and movers
- Booked around the move-in date.
- Cleanout and donations
- Local crews, scheduled and supervised.
- Repairs and prep
- Vetted contractors, only where it pays off.
- The sale
- Pricing, marketing, showings, negotiation, and closing.
What it costs, and who pays
The commission is paid to my brokerage at closing, from the sale. You owe me nothing upfront.
Vendors like movers and cleanout crews quote before any work starts and bill you directly. Nothing begins without your OK.
At closing, the seller also pays the usual costs: Washington real estate excise tax, title and escrow fees, and any mortgage or reverse mortgage payoff. You will see an estimated net sheet before you list.
Common questions
How long does it take to sell a senior’s home in Issaquah?
Often six to ten weeks from the first call to closing, depending on the move-in date, how much is in the house, and the market. We set the timeline together at the start.
Can you help if I live out of state and my parent is in Issaquah?
Yes. I check on the house, meet crews, send photos and updates, and arrange remote signing when the title company allows it.
Do you work with Issaquah senior move managers, placement advisors, and attorneys?
Yes. They keep their role, and I coordinate the house sale around their plan so the move stays on track.
