What happens, in order
Most families have never done this before. Here is the whole process, start to finish.
- First
A 30-minute call
We talk through your timeline, who is involved, and what the house needs. You leave with a plan, even if you are not ready to sell.
- Next
The house gets ready
Keepsakes go to family. Donations and cleanout are scheduled. Repairs happen only where they pay for themselves. I line up and supervise the crews, and you approve every cost.
- Last
We sell and close
Pricing, marketing, showings, negotiation, and closing, with an update at every step. Proceeds go where they need to go: the care account, the trust, or the estate.
Who does the work
You should not have to manage contractors from a hospital waiting room. I coordinate it all, with a team working behind the scenes.
- Cleanout and donations
- Local crews sort, donate, and haul, and we document everything for the family.
- Movers and move managers
- Trusted partners booked around the move-in date at the new home or community.
- Repairs and prep
- Vetted contractors, and only the work that is worth doing. Selling as-is is always an option.
- Showings, paperwork, and closing
- Handled by me and my team, with attorneys and title kept in the loop.
What it costs, and who pays
The commission is paid to my brokerage at closing, from the sale. You owe me nothing upfront.
Vendors like movers and cleanout crews quote before any work starts and bill you directly. Nothing begins without your OK.
Need to move before the house sells? I have relationships with lenders who offer bridge loan options, and I am happy to coordinate with your lender of choice.
